About me

Nothing like those Winnipeg winters.

This  is where my love for words and food collide.

This blog is a collection of latin recipes inspired my mom who passed away ten years ago. Most stem from my family’s roots in El Salvador, and are influenced by my Canadian upbringing. You may even learn some new Spanish words for food along the way.

I’m a professional communicator who works in agriculture. I’m a speech writer, grammar nut, who needs yoga, reading, coffee, beer and latin cooking to survive my duties as a twin wrangler (mom of twins). I’m a self proclaimed “agvocate,” supporter of fair trade and literacy.

Feel free to contact me, I would love to hear from you.

If you have any opportunities for which you think our interests are a match, I’d love to hear from you.  I also do some freelance writing and am always open for new opportunities, especially when it involves food, latin cooking or fair trade.
